Privacy Policy

BetterKnow Batesville (“BetterKnow”) is a local community media and directory service operated by Darrick Cox in Batesville, Indiana. This policy describes what information we collect through betterknowbatesville.com — including the BetterKnow a Pro directory — and how that information is used.

What we collect

Account information. To recommend a local pro, you sign up once with your name, mobile phone number, and email address.

Recommendations. We record which businesses you recommend when you tap to recommend on this website.

Basic technical records. Like most websites, we keep ordinary server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and to prevent abuse.

How we use it

We use this information only to operate the directory: to count and display recommendation totals for each business, to prevent duplicate or fraudulent recommendations, and to respond if you contact us. Only recommendation counts are shown publicly. Your individual recommendations, phone number, and email address are never published or exposed.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who else receives it

We use service providers only to run the service itself — for example, our hosting provider serves this website. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

To ask what information we hold about you, or to have your account and recommendations deleted, contact us at [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
