A place for kids to skate. Hang out. Compete. Create memories. Be outside. Be together.
So yeah… seeing graffiti already sprayed across it is disappointing.
But honestly?
Maybe there’s a better response than just getting angry online.
To whoever did this — if there’s actual creativity, talent, or expression behind it… bring it to the table the right way.
What if Batesville invited local artists, skaters, and creative kids to help DESIGN parts of this park instead of damaging it?
A mural wall. Community art nights. Skater-designed sections. Something that gives young people ownership instead of just rules.
Because there’s a difference between vandalism and contribution.
When people help build something, they protect it.
The words sprayed on the ramp said “Nothing here.”
But there is something here.
Opportunity. Community. Energy. Potential.
Let’s build on that instead of tearing it down.
